A classic daifuku made bite-sized, made from glutinous rice flour (i.e. mochi flour) and stuffed with red bean filling. 

In Japanese, Daifuku literally means 'great luck', and is often gifted to family and friends during festivals.

Monaka means “the shape of full moon”, and is said to have originated from Takemura Ise, a confectionary shop in Yoshiwara during the mid-Edo period.

This monaka is made from sweet chestnut filling, encased with a soft wafer made from mochi.

The Adzuki Monaka is made from two light fluffy, crispy wafers with a red bean filling, 

It contains a soft, chewy mochi centre that pairs perfectly with the texture of the red beans.

This senbei is made from glutinous rice flour and seasoned with a slight hint of wasabi.

This senbei is painstakingly made by frying glutinous rice flour, coating with a glaze of seasoning, and then being fried again. 

The result is a delicious, savoury crispy cracker, with out-of-this-world flavour.
